Work to be performed in medical facility located within the Mogadishu International Airport (MIA) providing routine medical care and medical exams, as well as primary care. All services shall be provided in accordance with established standards, principles and ethics of the profession, applicable professional specialty organizations, and the high-quality standard for which our client is recognized.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND EXPERIENCE:
•3 years as a medical front office assistance and nurse assistant
•Fluency in English
Note: Our client will provide institutional malpractice insurance as well as individual malpractice policies for all the General
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Answer, screen and transfer inbound phone calls
•Receive and direct visitors and clients
•General clerical duties including photocopying, fax and mailing
•Maintain electronic and hard copy filing system
•Resolve administrative problems and inquiries
•Prepare written responses to routine enquiries
•Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails
•Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments and travel arrangements for managers or supervisors
•Prepare agendas for meetings and prepare schedules
•Record, compile, transcribe and distribute minutes of meetings
•Open, sort and distribute incoming correspondence
•Coordinate maintenance of office equipment
•Operates personal computer to access e-mail, electronic calendars, and other basic office support software.
•Complies with all applicable standards and guidelines of our client.
•Attends and participates in a variety of meetings and task force groups to improve quality and outcomes, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, new task efforts, and new policy requirements.
•Assist with patient administration; vital signs; post-operative, intravenous, and intramuscular medications; cardiopulmonary resuscitation and resuscitative trauma care; along with other duties as determined by the primary medical providers.
•Assess a patient’s condition and determine a course of treatment.
•Provide first-aid treatment or life support care to sick or injured patients.
•Transfer patients to the emergency department of a hospital or other healthcare facility.
•Report their observations and treatment to physicians, nurses, or other healthcare facility staff.
•Document medical care given to patients.
•Inventory, replace, and clean supplies and equipment after use.
•Other duties as assigned.
•Must have a current passport.
•Must sign a Foreign Service Agreement (FSA) with our client and is bound to the terms and conditions of the FSA.
•Will be proficient in the ability to speak, write and communicate in English.
•Work hours are based on an 84 hrs. work week; typically seven (7), 12 hour days but other variations may apply.
•Must be confirmed by a medical examination to be “medically and dentally fit” in accordance with our client Medical Readiness Guidelines and Policies and/or as dictated by the Client.
•No conditions that would prevent the wear of personal protective equipment.
•Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment; travel in Somalia is required by surface or air.
